How Century 21 Department Stores got new customers for only a dollar and change using Foursquare Ads
On the heels of opening up Foursquare Ads to all on Monday, we want to share with you some stories of businesses that have already seen meaningful returns on their ads during our pilot phase. Earlier we shared the story of Barcade, and today we want to tell you about Century 21 department stores.
With eight locations in the New York City metro area, Century 21 needs to get the word out about time-sensitive specials to people on-the-go. But they don’t want to throw money away. They want to know that people are actually coming in, and not just passively looking at the ad.
“We’ve run digital advertising for another client where the ROI was not where it needed to be,” said Gregg Wasiak, Managing Parter of The Concept Farm, the agency that ran the campaign for Century 21. Senior Social Media Manager Caitlin Bergmann said, “With Foursquare we are able to track how the ad was doing. Plus, we saw that people physically went into the store. With paid social ads in the past, I thought people saw it but it’s much better to tell a client that this person entered their store.”
At only $1.23 per check-in, The Concept Farm is working on expanding Foursquare Ads to more Century 21 locations.
